We at MEF pride ourselves in the services as stated below:

  • Make healthcare and non-healthcare services acceptable, accessible and affordable to elderly persons through community set-ups, health facilities, home-based services, enrollment into health insurance schemes and other collaborations
  • Champion advocacies and galvanize policies for rights and care of older persons
  • Manage geriatric/aging program through public health and global health approach to address non-communicable diseases and communicable diseases (especially HIV, TB, Malaria and COVID) through local/international collaborations and partnerships
  • Institute and manage geriatric/healthy-aging clinics in all tiers of hospitals through partnerships
  • Support education, training and capacity building of pre-service and in-service service providers in geriatrics and care of older persons through partnerships with education and training institutions
  • Conduct research on aging and other research related to elderly persons
  • Conduct health education and awareness creation on geriatric conditions and management through community collaborations to increase health seeking behaviors among the elderly
  • Improve Water, Sanitation, Hygiene (WASH) among older persons
  • Provide psychosocial, legal, economic empowerment, and financial management services for elderly persons
  • Provide older persons’ Nutrition Intervention Plan (ONI-plan) to prevent and manage malnutrition among elderly persons
  • Prevent and intervene on elder abuse and other safety concerns for the elderly persons
  • Provide clothing and shelter care and recreational activities for older persons
  • Prevent and intervene on Gender based violence and widows right among the elderly.
  • Address and intervene on family conflict mitigation against elderly persons
  • Support caregivers of elderly person to be healthy, safe and stable to care for older persons
  • Secure local, national and international partnerships to manage grants and funding for care of elderly persons
  • Support surgical services as needed by elderlies
  • Manage medical and non-medical facilities/institutions and equipment related to care of the elderly
  • Take mission to and through the elderly persons
  • Advocate for care and rights of older persons in community, national and global scales
  • Manage assets and charity projects of interest to improve quality of life of older persons
  • Manage and provide every other and any other services and activities related to elderly persons
